A varietal Tempranillo, Zoñan Edición Limitada is a single vineyard Spanish red wine made from 60-year-old vines planted in clay-limestone soils near Olivares del Duero, a village located at 800 metres of altitude, in the very heart of the DO Ribera del Duero.
Picked by hand, the grapes were meticulously selected on arriving at the facilities of bodega Pago de Ina, and subsequently cold-macerated for 6 hours. After fermenting in stainless steel tanks, this red wine from Ribera del Duero was transferred into French oak barrels, where it completed malolactic fermentation and was aged for a period of 15 months.
Bottled in March 2013, Zoñan 2011 Edición Limitada was aged for several years in the bottle before being released onto the market.
It is essential to decant this remarkable reserva red wine 1 hour before drinking.
Only 2,352 bottles produced.
