Catalan winemaker Marta Pedra produces Vins de Pedra Trempat through the Vins de Pedra winery, her personal project based in southern Catalonia.
This varietal Spanish red wine is made solely from Trepat, a delicate and aromatic red variety indigenous to the Conca de Barberà region.
The grapes are sourced from over 70-year-old vines grown in very poor soils made of clay and limestone.
Traditionally vinified in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature, once fermentation was completed the red wine Vins de Pedra Trempat 2021 was aged for 5 months in French oak barrels before bottling.
