A varietal Tinta del País (Tempranillo), Viña Sastre Crianza is made from 20 to 60-year-old vines grown on the outskirts of Roa, a town belonging to the province of Burgos. The vineyards are located on the banks of the Duero river, at an altitude around 815 metres above sea level
Harvested at dawn, the grapes were selected both in the vineyard and in the cellar. Then they were gently crushed, and after that this Spanish red wine from Ribera del Duero was fermented and macerated with the skins.
Finally, Viña Sastre Crianza 2020 was aged for 14 months in French and American oak barrels. During that period, the wine was racked four times.
