During its 35-year-long history, Bodega Hermanos Pérez Pascuas has earned a reputation for crafting Spanish red wines with a remarkable ageing potential. Wines such as Viña Pedrosa Reserva.
A varietal Tinto Fino (Tempranillo), it is produced from 30 to 35-year-old vineyards composed of clay-limestone soils. They are planted near near Pedrosa de Duero, a Continental climate area with a mild Atlantic influence at 800 metres of altitude, in the heart of DO Ribera del Duero.
The 2018 vintage was considered «Very Good» by the Ribera del Duero regulatory board.
The grapes were harvested during the second half of October and traditionally vinified in stainless steel tanks. After completing both fermentations, Viña Pedrosa Reserva 2018 was aged for 24 months in American an French oak barrels.
Before hitting the market, the wine was aged for a minimum of 12 months in the cellar prior its release.
