The legendary R. López de Heredia-Viña Tondonia winery presents the new vintage of Viña Gravonia, an outstanding Spanish white wine from La Rioja.
A varietal Viura (Macabeo), it is sourced from a single vineyard planted with vines 45 years old on average.
The grapes were meticulously harvested, destemmed and fermented in big oak vats. After that, this white wine from La Rioja was aged in oak barrels for 4 years-with two yearly rackings.
Finally, Viña Gravonia 2014 was clarified with egg whites, bottled unfiltered and aged for a further 3 years in the cellar.
This Crianza white wine has a great ageing potential.
Pair with white meat, baked fish recipes, creamy cheeses or pasta.

| Palate | Silky, textured and deep, this wine from bodega R. López de Heredia-Viña Tondonia has a fabulous palate. Bone fruit, juicy and fresh, underbrush, bitter herbs, citrus, jasmine… A nice complexity. Very good acidity and a long finish with some mineral and earthy suggestions. |
