This classic Spanish red wine from La Rioja is produced by the R. López de Heredia- Viña Tondonia winery. The 2011 vintage was considered «Excellent» by the Rioja Regulatory Board.
As usual, Viña Bosconia Reserva is made basically from Tempranillo and Grenache, complemented with a small percentage of Graciano and Mazuela, all coming from estate vineyards.
After a meticulous harvest, the wine was traditionally vinified and aged for 5 years in barrels with two manual rackings.
Then Viña Bosconia Reserva 2011 was clarified with fresh egg whites, bottled, and aged in the cellar for a further 5 years before its release.
We suggest that you gently decant this Reserva red wine a minimum of 30 minutes before drinking.
Like all López de Heredia wines, this red wine from La Rioja has a remarkable ageing potential.
