This Catalan sparkling wine is a single varietal Subirat Parent.
Indigenous to Penedès, the Subirat Parent variety belongs to the Malvasia family.
The grape has a refined character and a delicately aromatic qualtiy, as this Cava of the Vilarnau winery clearly shows.
Once in the cellar, the grapes were destemmed and cold-soaked to preserve its fragrance. Then they were crushed and fermented in stainless steel tanks.
After that, this Brut Reserve was bottled to complete secondary fermentation.
Finally, Vilarnau Subirat Parent Reserva Brut was aged for a minimum of 15 months in the cellar.
Drink until 2020.
