One of the top Spanish sparkling wines from Bodegas Vilarnau, the new vintage of Vilarnau Gran Reserva Brut Nature Vintage is, as usual, made from an interesting blend of grapes.
Specifically, this Cava from Penedès features two traditional varieties, Macabeo and Parellada, as well as the international ones Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Vinified following the traditional Champenoise method, after a prolonged cold-maceration the four wine musts were separately fermented. After that, Vilarnau Gran Reserva Brut Nature Vintage 2014 was bottled and aged for a minimum of 36 months.
