Coming from the increasingly interesting region of Terra Alta, southern Catalonia, Via Edetana Negre is a phenomenal value.
A blend of 60% Hairy Grenache & Grenache, 30% Syrah and 10% Carignan, this Spanish red wine from bodega Edetària is produced from vines between 20 and 40 years of age.
The grapes are sourced from certified organic vineyards with sandy and rocky soils located near the town of Gandesa.
Separately harvested and meticulously selected on site, the grapes were fermented and macerated in stainless steel tanks. After that, each variety was aged for 12 months in 300-litre French oak barrels. Finally, Via Edetana Negre 2020 was blended and bottled.
Aerate this Crianza red wine 1 hour before drinking.
