Produced by Bodegas Valduero, Valduero Tierra Alta en 2 maderas belongs to a new collection of wines called «Tierra Alta».
This varietal Spanish red wine is produced from low-yielding Tempranillo vineyards perched at 830 metres of altitude, in the heart of DO Ribera del Duero. The vines are over 30 years old, and they are planted in very poor soils composed of clay, limestone and sand, in an area with a harsh Continental climate.
Harvested by hand at the beginning of October, the grapes were fermented, macerated and then aged for a period of 15 months in American and French oak barrels.
After that, Valduero Tierra Alta en 2 maderas 2018 was aged for a further 21 months in the cellar before its commercial release.
Aerate this red wine from Ribera del Duero some time before drinking.
