This premium Spanish red wine is one of the absolute classics of La Rioja. Indeed, Torre Muga embodies the best qualities of Spain’s most important wine region.
The wine is produced by Bodegas Muga, one of the very few wineries in the region that still builds the oak barrels it uses in its own cooperage.
It is made from Tempranillo, Mazuelo and Graciano. These grapes constitute the DNA of classic Rioja.
After a meticulous harvest, they were destemmed and macerated for 3 weeks in oak vats with indigenous yeasts and no temperature control.
After that, Torre Muga 2019 was aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels.
Finally, this reserva red wine was clarified with egg whites and aged for some months in the bottle before its release.
Decant this Rioja red wine a minimum of 1 hour before drinking.
