Made from a blend of Grenache and Carignan coming from 60 to 100-year-old vines grown in slate soils, Tocat i Posat is a remarkable Spanish red wine produced in the region of L’Empordà, near the Catalan-French border.
The grapes were picked up by hand and selected both in the vineyard and in the cellar. Alcoholic fermentation and maceration took place in stainless steel tanks.
After that, Tocat i Posat 2015 completed malolactic fermentation and was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels from Allier.
Finally, this Crianza red wine produced jointly by the Coca i Fitó and the Roig Parals wineries was fined with egg whites and bottled.
Prior to its release, this red wine from Empordà was aged for a further 6 months in the cellar.
Decant 1 hour before drinking.
