Crafted from 15 to 25-year-old vines, Tinto Figuero 4 Meses Mágnum is produced by Bodegas y Viñedos García Figuero in the heart of Ribera del Duero.
First, the Tempranillo grapes were manually harvested in little boxes to avoid fruit bruising.
Once in the cellar, the grapes were cold-soaked for 2 to 3 days and then spontaneously fermented. Then this Spanish red wine was racked prior to malolactic fermentation.
Finally, Tinto Figuero 5 Meses 2021 Mágnum (1.5 litre bottle) was aged for 4 months in 50% new and 50% 2nd year American oak (67%) and French oak barrels (33%).
The magnum format makes this red wine from Ribera del Duero a great choice for laid-back dinners with friends.
