This classic Spanish red wine is a varietal Tempranillo wine made from estate-owned vineyards located in Ribera del Duero. 30% of the vines are over 50 years old, while the rest are 20 to 40 years of age.
The harvest of Tinto Figuero 12 Meses, produced by Bodegas y Viñedos García Figuero, was carried out in little boxes to avoid fruit bruises.
Once in the cellar, the grapes were put into stainless steel tanks and cold-soaked for over a period of two days.
During the process of alcoholic fermentation, perodic punch-overs and pump-downs were performed to maximize contact between the wine and the solid skin cap.
Then Tinto Figuero 12 Meses 2020 was transferred into 95% French and 5% American oak barrels, where it was aged for 12 months. Once bottled, it was aged for another 24 months.
Decant this Crianza red wine 30 minutes before drinking.
