A few years ago, the prestigious winemaker Dominik Huber, owner of world-class Priorat winery Terroir al Limit, decided to expand his operations to the neighbouring DO Montsant after realizing the huge potential of the region. That was the origin of Terroir Sense Fronteres, the winery behind Terroir Sense Fronteres Negre.
A varietal Grenache wine, this Spanish red wine is produced, as all of Mr. Huber’s wines, in a Burgundian style.
The grapes were picked up by hand and transported to the cellar in little boxes. Once there, they were destemmed and fermented with indigenous yeasts. Human intervention during the process was minimal, with no punch-overs or pump-downs whatsoever. Alcoholic fermentation lasted about 8 days.
After that, Terroir Sense Fronteres Negre 2021 was aged for 6 months in the tanks before being bottled.
We suggest that you aerate this red wine from Montsant 30 minutes before drinking.
