A varietal Carignan, Arbossar is crafted by Terroir al Límit. Run by German-born winemaker Dominik Huber, it is one of Priorat’s most sophisticated and boundary-pushing wineries.
This single vineyard Spanish red wine originates in a less than 2-hectare plot planted with 90-year-old grapevines, farmed following the principles of biodynamic agriculture. The site is located at an altitude of 400 metres above sea level, near the village of Torroja del Priorat. Soils are composed of black slate and granite.
Harvested by hand, the non-destemmed grapes were gently macerated and fermented with indigenous yeasts in concrete diposits.
After that, Terroir al Límit Arbossar 2021 was aged for some months in the diposits and bottled before the following harvest.
It is essential to decant this red wine from Priorat a minimum of 1 hour before you drink it.
