Coming from DO Tarragona, Terrer d’Aubert is a blended Spanish red wine made from 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Grenache.
The grapes are sourced from vineyards with lumaquel·la soils, which are peppered with marine fossils. They bring a particular edge and minerality to the wine.
Hand-harvested and meticulously selected, the grapes were separated according to the variety, age of the vines and plot of origin. Then they were fully destemmed and fermented in stainless steel tanks for 20 days with punch-downs and pumpo-overs.
After that, this red wine from Tarragona was macerated with the skins, gently pressed and drawn-off. Then Terrer d’Aubert 2018 was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels before its bottling.
