Produced by bodega Suertes del Marqués in DO Valle de la Orotava (Tenerife), Suertes del Marqués Vidonia is a superb Spanish white wine made solely from Listán Blanco (aka Palomino).

This varietal white wine from Tenerife is produced from 3 different plots of ungrafted, over 100-year-old vines located between 350 and 520 metres of altitude, in an area composed of volcanic soils.

The grapes were picked by hand and selected on site. Selected again on arriving at the cellar, they were subsequently destemmed and gently pressed. Only the free-run juice was used to craft this white wine from Valle de la Orotava.

Then Suertes del Marqués Vidonia 2021 fermented in French oak barrels with indigenous yeasts, after which it was aged on lees for 10 months.

Pair this exquisite white wine fermented and aged in oak with shrimp, rice dishes and oysters.

Nose	This varietal Listán Blanco is as terroir-bound as it gets. This is a demanding, no-nonsense, impressively mineral white wine from the Canary Islands. Aromas of petricor (wet rocks), bitter herbs, salt, and some dim remembrances of white fruit and citrus.

Our personal opinion	A world-class white wine, Suertes del Marqués Vidonia 2021 is definitely on a par with great Burgundy Chardonnays and Mosel Rieslings.
Palate	Edgy and sharp, this wine from bodega Suertes del Marqués is amazingly textured, precise and incredibly elegant. Light to medium-bodied, this wine has vibration, energy and a very long, complex finish.
