The red wine Sierra Cantabria Reserva is produced by the prestigious Eguren family from over 30-year-old vines located in the town of San Vicente de la Sonsierra, La Rioja
A varietal Tempranillo, the vineyards are farmed with minimal intervention and integrated production techniques.
The grapes were manually harvested and carefully selected. Once in the facilities of the Sierra Cantabria winery, they were destemmed and fermented using indigenous yeasts with periodic pump-overs.
After that, this Spanish red wine was macerated for 14 days and subsequently aged for 18 months in French (70%) and American (30%) oak barrels, both new and used ones. The wine was racked every 4 months.
Finally, Sierra Cantabria 2015 was further aged for a minimum of 24 months in the cellar before its release.
Aerate this reserva red wine 30 minutes before drinking.
