Produced by the prestigious Scala Dei winery in DOQ Priorat, Scala Dei Cartoixa is an exquisite, characterful blend of Grenache and Carignan.
The grapes are sourced from over 60-year-old vineyards, located between 500 and 800 metres of altitude.
Each variety and each individual plot was hand-harvested and individually vinified. After macerating for abot three weeks, this Spanish red wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks and concrete diposits under controlled temperature.
After that, Scala Dei Cartoixa 2018 was transferred into French oak vats and 2,100-litre concrete diposits, where it was aged for 24 months.
