The little-known Sang de Corb is a radically indigenous Spanish red wine produced in the southern Catalonian region of Terra Alta, a place with blisteringly hot summers and bitterly cold winters.
This wine is made from a blend of Grenache, Hairy Grenache and Carignan coming from a single vineyard, Dellà del Riu, planted with vines over 65 years old. Certified organic, the vines are located in a pristine environment, surrounded by almond, apple and olive trees.
Produced by the exceedingly interesting Celler Frisach, a company with an uncompromising terroir-oriented approach to winemaking, this red wine from Terra Alta was traditionally vinified in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature.
After that, Sang de Corb 2021 was aged for 12 months in 300-litre used French oak barrels.
Decant this Crianza red wine a minimum of 1 hour before drinking.
