Produced by Josep Grau viticultor, Salomé is the winemaker’s homage to a 90-year-old lady who had the dream of making a wine from her own vineyard.
This expressive Spanish red wine is made from a blend of 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon coming from old vines, some of which are over 90 years of age.
The vines, some of which are over 70 years old, grow in the typical slate soils present both in Montsant and in the neighbouring Priorat.
Traditionally vinified in stainless steel tanks, Salomé 2019 was aged for 7 months in 2nd and 3rd year French oak barrels.
Decant this Crianza red wine 30 minutes before drinking. Pair with stews and rice and meat dishes.
