Produced by Bodega Terramoll in Formentera, the tiniest and most magical of the Balearic Islands, Rosa de Mar is a blended Spanish rosé wine made from Merlot, Monastrell and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The grapes were sorted from flatland vineyards with limestone soils planted about 15 years ago. The area receives a lot of sunlight and is constantly exposed to the sea wind.
Picked by hand during the second half of August, once in the cellar the grapes were refrigerated and subsequently drawn off for 24-36 hours. Then this organic rosé wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks for 25 days under controlled temperature.
After that, Rosa de Mar 2021 was cold-stabilized and filtered before bottling.
This cheerful rosé wine from Formentera will pair nicely with pizzas, tapas and light dishes.
