A blend of 91% Tempranillo, 5% Graciano and 4% Grenache, Roda Reserva is produced from low-yielding, over 30-year-old vines located on the outskirts of Haro.
Produced by Bodegas Roda, this classic Spanish red wine from La Rioja was fermented in French wooden vats at a controlled temperature. After that, malolactic fermentation took place in French oak barrels.
Then this Reserva red wine was aged in 40% new and 60% 2nd year French oak barrels for 14 months. It was clarified with egg whites before bottling.
Before its commercial release, Roda Reserva 2019 was aged for a further 30 months in the bottle.
Decant this Rioja red wine 1 hour before drinking.

| Nose | This blend of Tempranillo, Graciano and Grenache has a delightful nose, pure and very precise. Notes of ripe cherries, plums, spices and balsam, intertwined with aromas of Arabica coffee, pipe tobacco, underbrush, lavender and fresh violets. At the bottom of it all, there is a constant mineral beat. |

| Palate | Meaty, expressive and delicately warm, with first-class fruit, which enhanced by a masterful ageing process. Eastern spices, cedar, balsam and undergrowth remembrances. Smooth and palate-coating, with mild tannins and a crisp acidity. This wine of Bodegas Roda has a long finish with some remembrances of clove, vanilla and Havanna cigars. |
