This is the new vintage of Rejón, produced by Bodegas Tridente, a brand of Juan Gil Family Estates
A varietal Tempranillo, this exceptional Spanish red wine is sourced form a single vineyard planted with low-yielding vines over 130 years of age. The plot is located in El Pego, a village in the Toro region within the VT Castilla y León designation.
Harvested by hand, the grapes were fermented and macerated in stainless steel tanks. After that, Rejón 2019 completed malolactic fermentation and was aged for a period of 20 months in those same barrels.
The production of this reserva red wine is very limited.
This varietal red wine from Castilla y León has a remarkable ageing potential.
Because of its depth and concentration, it is essential to decant this old-vines Tempranillo a minimum of 2 hours before drinking.
