The spectacular Recaredo Turó d’en Mota takes the ultra-local and minimal intervention biodynamic philosophy of the Recaredo winery to the extreme.
Considered by many the absolute best Spanish sparkling wine, it is also one of the few world sparklers that stands comparison with top-tier French Champagnes.
A varietal Xarel·lo, the grapes of this Penedès sparkling wine come from a 1.5 hectare vineyard planted in 1940 that gives the wine its name («Turó d’en Mota» means «Mota Hill»)
The idea of the winemakers is thus quite clear. One variety – one vineyard – one vintage. The result is a one-of-a-kind Corpinnat Brut Nature sparkling wine.
Exquisitely crafted following the traditional method, Recaredo Turó d’en Mota 2008 was aged for a minimum of 150 months in the cellar prior to its commercial release. No shipping liquor was added to the wine after the disgorging date printed on the back label.
