In 1962, Josep Mata Capellades, the founder of the Recaredo winery, decided to craft an age-worthy Spanish sparkling wine wine which was able to express the potential of Xarel·lo and Macabeo to produce world-class sparkling wines. The result was Recaredo Reserva Particular.
This Corpinnat sparkler comes from very old Demeter certified Xarel·lo and Macabeo vineyards. They are farmed following the principles of biodynamic agriculture.
The Xarel·lo grapes were fermented in oak barrels, while the Macabeo completed the process in stainless steel tanks.
Then this Corpinnat sparkling wine was blended, bottled and aged on its lees for 98 months.
Finally, Recaredo Reserva Particular 2013 was manually disgorged and added no shipping liquor. The disgorging date is printed on the back label.
