The sophisticated Raventós i Blanc De Nit Brut is a very interesting Spanish sparkling wine made from a blend of Macabeo, Xarel·lo, Parellada and a dollop of Monastrell.
The white grapes come from 15 to 40-year-old vines located in a very special area of the Penedès region called Conca de l’Anoia (basin of the Anoia River.) The terroir is highly characteristic, as it is composed of marine fossils that bring a particular finesse and minerality to the wine.
Produced by the Raventós i Blanc winery, the grapes are grown following the guidelines of organic agriculture. Besides, all the winemaking operations are carried out following the principles of biodynamic farming.
Each of the varieties was harvested by hand and separately vinified. The wine was produced only from the «free-run» juice.
Once the two fermentations were completed, Raventós i Blanc De Nit Brut 2021 was aged for over a period of 18 months.
