The red wine Racorell is produced by Mas de l’A, the latest wine project of well-known Catalan winemaker and architect Alfredo Arribas.
This blended Spanish red wine is a most interesting combination of three species of Garnatxa (Grenache): Red Grenache, Grey Grenache and Hairy Grenache. A field blend, the vines are planted in red clay and slate soils at 500 metres above sea level, in DOQ Priorat.
Hand-picked at their optimal ripening moment, the grapes were half destemmed and then macerated and fermented in concrete diposits with indigenous yeasts. After that, Racorell 2020 was aged in big wooden vats for 12 months. It was bottled unfiltered.
Decant this Priorat red wine some time before drinking.
