Produced by Bodega Quinta de la Quietud, this Spanish red wine is made from old vines over 80 years of age.
A varietal Tinta de Toro, Quinta Quietud is produced from low-yielding vineyards located at an altitude over 700 metres above sea level.
The soils, which are very poor, are farmed following the principles of organic farming, which includes, among others, decoction of indigenous plants (lavender, nettle) to prevent possible vine diseases.
Harvested by hand, the grapes were carefully selected and brought to the cellar in little boxes.
Macerated for 15 to 18 days, the grapes then fermented spontaneously in stainless steel tanks. After that, Quinta Quietud 2017 was aged for 24 months in French oak barrels.
Decant this Crianza red wine from DO Toro at least 1 hour before drinking.
