An homage to the 11 founding members of Bodegas Protos, which started the company back in 1927, Protos 27 is a varietal Tempranillo wine from Ribera del Duero.
Produced from over 50-year-old vineyards, after a meticulous harvest the grapes were cold macerated and then fermented in stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts at a temperature of 25ºC.
After that, this Spanish red wine was macerated for a further 20 days with daily pump-overs. Then Protos 27 2020 was transferred into new French oak barrels and aged for a period of 16 months.
Finally, this Reserva red wine was bottled and aged for 12 months before hitting the market.
Aerate this red wine from Ribera del Duero 1 hour before drinking.

| Nose | Surprisingly fresh and lively, this varietal Tempranillo carries loads of cranberries, bilberries and bluberries, with notes of vanilla, cinnamon and cedar, a hint of toast and remembrances of flowers and dry earth. |
