This is the new vintage of Prieto Pariente Viognier from bodega Prieto Pariente, a winery created by the third generation of the well-known José Pariente family from Rueda.
A varietal Viognier, this Spanish white wine is made from low-yielding vines grown in a very special plot – a tiny island amidst a sea of Verdejo vineyards.
Farmed following environmentally friendly practices, the grapes were harvested by hand and brought to the cellar in little boxes. Gently crushed, they were first fermented in trunk-cone shaped stainless steel tanks.
After that, Prieto Pariente Viognier 2020 was aged for 6 months in 500-litre French oak barrels.
