One of the most prestigious names in Priorat, Celler Vall Llach presents its latest creation – and a very interesting one at that. Porrera Vi de Vila Blanc de Vall Llach is the first white wine released by the winery since Aigua de Llum, hitherto the only white wine in Vall Llach’s catalogue.
Made solely from White Grenache, this Spanish white wine is produced from vineyards located in Porrera, a historical village in the heart of DOQ Priorat.
The hand-harvested grapes were carefully selected, destemmed and cold-soaked with the skins in stainless steel tanks for 2 days. After that, this Porrera Vi de Vila (village wine from Porrera) went into 3,000-litre French oak vats, where it completed alcoholic fermentation.
After finishing the process, the white wine Porrera Vi de Vila Blanc de Vall Llach 2022 was aged for 3 months in the vats. Bottled in April 2023, it was further aged for a couple of months before hitting the market.
If properly stored, this white wine from Priorat will improve considerably in the bottle over the next years.
Decant this white wine aged in oak 1 hour before drinking.

| Our personal opinion | A great wine in its infancy. The wine Porrera Vi de Vila Blanc de Vall Llach 2022 combines the minerality of a Mosel Riesling with the opulence of a Condrieu. |
| Palate | This white wine of Celler Vall Llach has a detailed, luxurious texture, with a zesty acidity and lots of inner energy to compensate the weight (admittedly, the wine still has some baby fat that needs to melt away.) Excellent definition, with the trademark metallic/mineral freshness common to most Porrera wines, and a very long finish with remembrances of Mediterranean garrigue and spices. |
