True to its name, Plaer (pleasure) conveys the intimate satisfaction winelovers feel when we encounter a Spanish red wine that express a true sense of place.
It is produced in Priorat by Albert Jané, owner and head winemaker of Acústic Celler.
It is made mostly from Carignan, complemented with some Grenache, both coming from 40 to 60-year-old vines grown in steep slopes with slate soils. Altitudes of the plots go from 350 to 650 metres above sea level, all with different sun orientations.
Harvested by hand, the grapes were traditionally vinified. Then, Plaer 2018 was aged for 12 months in 2nd year French oak barrels.
After that, this Crianza red wine was aged for some months in the bottle before hitting the market.
Decant this organic red wine a minimum of 1 hour before drinking.
8,400 bottles produced.
