Produced by the Parés Baltà winery, Parés Baltà Mas Irene is part of the Microcuvées collection, a series of small-production wines sourced from the best plots of the winery.
Crafted following biodynamic and organic methods, this blended Spanish red wine is made from Merlot – sourced from the «Cal Miret» plot, located at an altitude of 400 metres above sea level – and Cabernet Franc – coming from the «La Torreta» vineyard, at 315 metres of altitude. – Both of them are located in the Penedès region.
Meticulously harvested and carefully selected, after a cold-soaking process each variety was separately vinified in stainless steel tanks.
Then Parés Baltà Mas Irene 2018 was aged for 13 months in new French oak barrels from Allier.
After its bottling, this red wine from Penedès spent a further months in the cellar prior to being released.
