The prestigious Dominio de Atauta winery presents the new vintage of Parada de Atauta.
A textbook Ribera del Duero, this Spanish red wine is made from 90 to 100-year-old Tinto Fino vines, planted in sandy and pebblestone soils at an altitude of 900 to 1,000 metres above sea level.
The grapes were picked by hand, destemmed and then cold-soaked and fermented in stainless steel and concrete tanks. The malolactic fermentation of this Crianza red wine took place in oak vats.
After that, Parada de Atauta 2019 was aged in 225-litre French oak barrels, 40% of which were new, for over a period of 14 months. Finally, it was clarified with egg whites before bottling.
We suggest that you decant this red wine from Ribera del Duero for 30 minutes before you drink it.
47,000 bottles produced.
