The Pago de Carraovejas winery presents the new vintage of its flagship wine, the well-known Pago de Carraovejas.
A blend of Tinto Fino (aka Tempranillo), Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, this Spanish red wine is made from young vines, planted between 1998 and 2011, near the town of Peñafiel, in the heart of DO Ribera del Duero.
After a meticulous selection, the grapes were fermented in stainless steel tanks and French oak vats, after that the wine was aged for 12 months in American and French oak barrels.
After that, Pago de Carraovejas 2020 was clarified with egg whites. Then it was bottled and subsequently aged for a minimum of 8 months in the bottle before its commercial release.
We recommend that you decant this red wine from Ribera del Duero for a minimum of 30 minutes before you drink it.
Pair this Crianza red wine with hearty meat dishes.
