Founded more than a century ago, Vinícola del Priorat, the producer of Ònix Clàssic, is DOQ Priorat’s biggest coop. Nowadays, the company manages over 300 plots of vines in Catalonia’s most prestigious region.
Produced from a careful selection of old vines, this Spanish red wine is made from a traditional blend of Grenache and Carignan.
The harvest was done manually in boxes of 15 kg, when each plot achieved an optimal ripeness. Once in the winery, the grapes were destemmed and transferred into stainless steel tanks, where Ònix Clàssic 2021 completed both alcoholic and malolactic fermentations.

| Nose | This blend of Carignan and Grenache is intense and very expressive. Ripe red and black fruit, alongside some fresh notes of Mediterranean forest and a nice mineral background, characteristic of the Priorat llicorella soil. |

| Our personal opinion | As the name suggests, the wine Ònix Clàssic 2021 is a perfect expression of a classic red wine from Priorat. Perfect with a good steak. |
| Palate | Fresh and nice entrance. This wine from Vinícola del Priorat is very tasty, intense and delicately warm. The fruits (cherries, blackberries, plums, currants) are delicious, almost jammy. Good acidity and nice tannins, friendly astringent. Long finish with fruity remembrances and a mineral aftertaste. |
