This is the new vintage of Mauro – crafted, as always, by the prestigious winemaker Mariano García, head of Bodegas Mauro.
This well-known Spanish red wine from Castilla y León was produced from 90% Tempranillo and 10% Syrah.
Selected in the vineyard and in the cellar, the grapes were destemmed and separately vinified according to the variety and plot of origin. Alcoholic fermentation of this organic red wine took place in big stainless steel tanks and was followed by a 2 to 3 week skin maceration.
Then it was transferred into French oak barrels and French oak vats of different ages, where Mauro 2020 was aged for 16 months.
This exquisite Crianza red wine was was bottled and aged for a further 2 months in the cellar prior to being commercially released.
We suggest that you decant red wine from Castilla y León 1 hour before you drink it.
