Born in the heart of Priorat, Mas d’en Compte Negre is a blended Spanish red wine produced by bodega Celler Cal Pla from vines grown in llicorella (slate) soils on the outskirts of Porrera, in the very heart of the region.
The composition of this Crianza red wine is 50% Grenache, 40% Carignan and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Picked by hand and rigorously selected, the grapes were fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. After that, Mas d’en Compte Negre 2016 was aged in new French oak barrels for 14 months.
