The excellent Marqués de Murrieta Reserva Magnum comes in a size which is perfect for ageing it in our home cellar. As it is well known, the 1.5 litre bottle increases the longevity and quality of the wine.
Typically, this classic Spanish red wine is made from Tempranillo, with some dollops of Graciano, Mazuela and Grenache.
The grapes come from the imposing Finca Ygay, a 300-hectare estate located at the heart of La Rioja Alta, at altitudes between 320 and 485 metres above sea level, in an area with a Continental climate.
Separately harvested and vinified, the grapes were gently crushed and fermented in stainless steel tanks with frequent punch-overs and pump-downs.
After that, Marqués de Murrieta Reseva Magnum 2018 from La Rioja was aged for 21 months in 225-litre American oak barrels. Finally, the wine was aged for another 24 months in the cellar prior to its commercial release.
Decant this Reserva red wine a minimum of 30 minutes before drinking.
