The well-known Marqués de Murrieta winery produces this Spanish red wine from grapes sorted from Finca Ygay.
Made from a traditional blend, the main component of Marqués de Murrieta Reserva is Tempranillo, complemented with the high-acidic Graciano, Mazuela (Carignan) and Grenache.
Located in the heart of La Rioja, the Finca Ygay estate comprises 300 hectares of vineyards at altitudes between 320 and 485 metres above sea level, with different soil compositions and sun orientations.
Manually harvested, the grapes were destemmed and gently crushed. Then they were fermented in stainless steel tanks with periodic pump-overs and puch-downs.
After that, Marqués de Murrieta Reserva 2018 was aged for 21 months in new and semi-new American oak barrels.
Finally, this red wine from La Rioja was aged for a minimum of 24 months in the bottle prior to its commercial release.
