The top-shelf Spanish sparkling wine of the prestigious Cavas Llopart winery, Llopart Llegat Familiar bears the label of the Corpinnat association of producers.
A truly world-class sparkler, it is made solely from Xarel·lo grapes sourced from a single vineyard with calcareous and sandy-clay soils, called Viña del Paulino, planted in 1935 in the heart of Penedès.
The over 80-year-old vines were harvested by hand, after which the grapes were vinified following the traditional method.
First, they were fermented under controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. After that, this Corpinnat organic sparkling wine completed secondary fermentation in the bottle.
Then the sparkling wine Llopart Llegat Familiar 2008 was aged for 156 months minimum, during which period the lees were coup de poignée stirred every 4-5 months.
After being manually disgorged, this Corpinnat Brut Nature was aged for 6 months before being released onto the market.
Only 937 bottles produced.
