A confidential Spanish red wine from DOQ Priorat, Llàgrimes del Priorat is produced by the boutique winery Celler Crivellé i Valls, based in the village of Poboleda.
A blend of Grenache, Samsó (aka Carignan), Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, this red wine from Priorat is sourced from terraced vineyards with the typical llicorella (slate) soils which define the identity of the region.
The grapes were hand-picked separately fermented according to the variety in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature. Then the red wine Llàgrimes del Priorat 2021 was transferred into French and American oak barrels and aged for 12 months.
Once bottled, this Crianza red wine was aged for a minimum of 8 months before being released onto the market.
Pair with meat recipes, roasts and oily fish dishes.
