Coming from DOCa Rioja, Las Salinas Beltza is arguably the most original Spanish red wine of the bodega Luberri-Familia Monje Amestoy catalogue.
This varietal Tempranillo is sorted from 90-year-old vines grown in several parcels which had previously been a part of a salt lake.
After a manual harvest, the grapes were selected on arriving at the cellar and transferred into French oak barrels, where they went through alcoholic fermentation.
Then this red wine from La Rioja was aged for a period of 12 months. Finally, Las Salinas Beltza 2020 was kept for a further 2 months in concrete eggs to stabilize it.
Aerate this Crianza red wine some time before drinking.
