One of the most interesting products of the Bodegas Lan winery, Lan A Mano is an exquisitely crafted, small-batch Spanish red wine made from 88% Tempranillo and 12% Graciano, sourced from 45 to 60-year-old vines.
Located at 490 metres of altitude, in the El Cortijo area, in the Rioja Alta subzone of DOCa Rioja, the gently sloped vineyards have soils packed with cobblestones.
Hand-picked and selected on site and in the premises, the grapes were vinified in tanks under controlled temperature. The malolactic fermentation of this red wine from La Rioja was carried out in new French oak barrels with periodic lees-stirrings to extract colour and tannin.
After that, the red wine Lan A Mano 2019 was aged for 11 months in French oak barrels, and then for 6 months in Caucasian oak barrels.
Finally, this Crianza red wine was bottled and aged for a further months before hitting the market
Aerate 1 hour before drinking.
Pair with aged cheese, cold cuts and meat recipes.
