A varietal Spanish red wine of Bodegas Arrayán, La Suerte de Arrayán is sourced solely from old Grenache vines planted in sandy soils at 700 metres above sea level near the village of El Real de San Vicente, DO Méntrida.
The area has a Continental-Mediterranean climate, with cold winters and hot summers.
Hand-harvested and selecte both on site and in the premises, the grapes were cold-soaked for 3 days and then spontaneously fermented under controlled temperature, after which this red wine from Méntrida was macerated for another 20 days.
Then the red wine La Suerte de Arrayán 2017 went through malolactic fermentation in 300 and 500-litre French oak barrels, where it was subsequently aged for 12 months.
Finally, this Crianza red wine was aged for a further year in the bottle before its commercial release.
Decant 30 minutes before drinking.
