Produced by the Escoda-Sanahuja winery, a pioneer in the production of natural wine in Catalonia, La Llopetera is a varietal Pinot Noir from DO Conca de Barberà.
A single parcel Spanish red wine, the vines are planted in calcareous soils at an altitude of 600 metres above sea level. All of the farming operations follow the principles of biodynamic agriculture.
Once in the cellar, the grapes were destemmed prior to macerating and fermenting with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks.
After that, La Llopetera 2021 was transferred into French oak barrels, where this no added sulfites red wine was aged for 6 months.
Finally, this organic red wine was bottled with no prior clarification or stabilization.
Decant 30 minutes before drinking.
