This is the new vintage of L’Interrogant, a pleasant and fresh Spanish red wine which may help us solve the Priorat riddle.
A blend of Grenache, Carignan and Cabernet Sauvignon, the grapes come from vineyards 25 years old on average, planted at 200 metres above sea level, in slate filled soils with an abundance of red calcareous minerals.
Harvested by hand, once in the winery the grapes were destemmed and cold-soaked for 3 days in small stainless steel vats. Then this red wine from Priorat was fermented with daily pump-overs.
After that, this wine of the Clos 93 winery was aged for 9 months in 2nd and 3rd year 300-litre French oak barrels. Once the process was completed, L’Interrogant 2021 was blended and aged for a further 5 weeks in a big wooden vat to fully harmonise its components.
Decant this Crianza red wine at least half an hour before drinking.
9,500 bottles produced.
