Produced by the Jané Ventura winery, Jané Ventura Sumoll is a varietal Sumoll, a red grape indigenous to the Penedés region.
This is a very interesting variety because of its high acidity, a key feature in Mediterranean wines.
This Spanish red wine is produced from old, 40 to 70-year old Sumoll vines grown in the towns of La Bisbal del Penedès and Aiguamúrcia.
The vinification, fermentation and maceration of this red wine from Penedès took place in stainless steel tanks.
Then, Jané Ventura Sumoll 2017 was aged for 11 months in 2nd year French oak barrels in order to preserve its varietal character.
Sumoll is a very reductive variety. We suggest that you decant the wine for a minimum of 1 hour before drinking.
